We've joined the team representing the Venice Stakeholders Association in their attempt to relocate a proposed temporary homeless shelter from a primarily residential neighborhood. The Los Angeles City Council has proposed using a former MTA bus facility to provide shelter and services without conducting a review under the California Environmental Quality Act or considering known soil contamination at the site from its historic activities. We will be working with the Association and their CEQA counsel to look into the extent of contamination at the property and the risks to potential residents at the shelter.
